PhoneSeek Adobe AIR Application (2009)
PhoneSeek is an application to track any device that uses InstaMapper. InstaMapper is free real-time GPS tracking service. To use InstaMapper you need a GPS enabled device with the free InstaMapper tracking software installed along with a API Key from InstaMapper’s web site for each device you own. You can track mobile phones (iPhone, G1, Blackberry) or even automobiles.
AS3 Yammer Library (2009)
An ActionScript 3 library that wraps the Yammer API service. The as3yammerlib is hosted on GitHub and the source code is publicly available. To use the library you will need your own consumer key and secret for the Yammer API available from Yammer’s developer site. The library is also dependent on the as3corelib for doing JSON parsing and as3signals for broadcasting events.
Yammer Desktop Application (2009)
The Yammer desktop application is a Flex 3/AIR application for accessing the Yammer service. You can find out more about the application on Techcrunch who did an article when the application was first launched.
Xdrive Desktop Light
Xdrive Desktop Light (XDL) is an AIR application that allows users to upload files and folders from their hard drive, desktop, USB devices, or removable storage drives directly into their Xdrive web storage. Users can also manage and organize their documents, photos, music, and videos. For more details, check out the XDL application download page or read an article about XDL published on Adobe’s web site.
Xdrive ActionScript 3 Library
The as3xdrivelib project is a wrapper for the Open Xdrive JSON API. Xdrive is an online storage platform and they offer a free JSON API for developers to create storage and other types of applications upon their service. The AS3 library wraps much of the Xdrive API and abstracts the inner workings from those developing Flex, AIR, or Flash applications.

Bluestring
Flex application built for Bluesring.com, part of my project work during my stint at Xdrive.com. Bluestring combines aggregation with Xdrive’s storage platform to store and share files.
This is a project I worked on for the W. P. Carey School of Business in Tempe, Ariziona. nGen is a complete online course management and delivery system entirely in Flash. The application is used to build and deliver online MBA courses for Arizona State University. The project was featured as an Adobe Showcase article and published in Government Video Magazine.
One of our biggest hurdles for this project was overcoming the HTML 1.0 standard that Flash uses to display HTML text. As far as I know, the college is still using this development tool to deliver online courses.
The Interactive Case Study
The Interactive Case Study (ICS) project was done for the University of Arizona’s Integrative Medicine program. The application is an online learning tool where students are presented with a medical case for a patient and are asked to diagnose the possible systems of the patient. The application uses branching, so a students path through the application is determined by their answers to each case study. Unfortunately this application is only for students of the program and there is no public example of the application.
